HIV/AIDS (Task Order 1) | Technical Assistance | Commodity Procurement
The USAID Global Health Supply Chain Program-Procurement and Supply Management (GHSC-PSM) project supports the Vietnam Authority of HIV/AIDS Control (VAAC) to procure and deliver HIV/AIDS commodities for the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) in Vietnam. At the same time, the project works to reinforce the Vietnamese government’s capacity to procure and manage commodities for HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment.
We use a participatory approach to build capacity and ensure efforts can be sustained, with the Vietnamese government leading procurement processes to create the long-term systems in commodity quantification, procurement, and forecasting. All of our activities serve as capacity-building opportunities through the direct involvement of government counterparts in these processes, or through training government partners in the systems and tools that GHSC-PSM uses.
